My Collection: Emilio Pucci Flats

I absolutely love Emilio Pucci, and when I saw these flats I just HAD to get them!

I got them on Gilt Groupe (I sure do get a lot on Gilt, don't I?) not too long ago and they are just fabulous.  The colors, in person, are just so vibrant and gorgeous.  Purple is my favorite color and the purple in these is just perfect.

As you can see from this picture, the sides are slightly (it's very slight, easier to tell in person) different from each other (different placement of purple, blue, etc.) but not so much that they look completely different or weird.

The knot detail on these is great. It doesn't really add any weight - these are actually quite lightweight and extremely comfortable!

Here you can see the colors better.  Despite their colorfulness, these are actually quite neutral - they go with many things.  Come fall, I am going to wear them a ton - I haven't worn them nearly as much as I should because during the summer I am devoted to sandals!

7 Amazing Closets

With my recent room-redo and closet clean-out, I thought it would be a good time to share some inspiring closets.  I have always been jealous of those with amazing, wonderfully-organized, spacious walk-in closets. While my "new" closet may not be at all spacious (even though it has a ton of stuff in it!), these closets inspire me to keep it clean and organized.

I absolutely love this closet - there's so much stuff yet it's not too huge.  There's ample hanging space for jeans/pants, which I definitely need since I have WAY too many jeans!!

This one has a great center island and seating are for putting your shoes on.  I love the black shelves!

Now, of course I'm going to love this one... it's one of the Juicy Couture founders' (Pamela Skaist-Levy) closet! I love the layout and how everything seems to be kind of randomly placed even though it's very neat and organized.   I would definitely love to have this closet.

I love the boutiquey feel of this closet.  I think I'd feel like I was shopping every time I went to get dressed! It looks so beautiful and dreamy, especially with all of the light, pastel colors.  This also happens to be Mariah Carey's closet!

The shoe and bag space in this closet is amazing! I definitely need that!  Love the center island which has space for jewelry and other accessories.

These pictures are of the same closet.
Wouldn't it be awesome to have one like this?  It's just so fabulous! The mirrored island is wonderful, and there's tons of space for everything!

And, finally, we have Christina Aguilera's closet! Look at all those shoes! I love the pink shelves and leopard rug - it makes the closet very funky and unique.

My Collection: Corey Lynn Calter Dress

Corey Lynn Calter  is another brand I discovered on Gilt Groupe, which is also where I got this dress (who doesn't love a good deal?).

It's extremely lightweight and comfortable - perfect for shopping, having lunch, etc., on a hot summer day and when night rolls around, throw on a nice sweater and a pair of heels and you're ready to go out to a nice dinner!

Since it's hard to tell from the first picture, here's a close-up so you can see the intricate beading on the sides of the dress.  That detailing is much more noticeable in person, and the beads even sparkle a bit in the light.

The back is basically plain black, except for the trim on the bottom which, as you can see, wraps around the whole dress.
The dress is not incredibly short, going a tad bit lower than mid-thigh (but, of course, it depends on how short/tall you are!).

I highly recommend that you check out her site, it has a lot of great items!

My Collection: Coye Nokes Jacqueline Heels

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I came across Coye Nokes through Gilt Groupe and have been obsessed since. I had no clue who she was so I went to her website afterwards and discovered her amazing collection of shoes.

I actually got these for $50 during her sample sale - an amazing deal considering they were originally about $395!
The color is great... they were described as being coral on her website, but in person they are closer to a light electric pink (if that's possible).

The heel height is great - about 3 1/2 inches, so they add a nice amount of height and are still easy to walk in.

I also own these in turquoise (got them on Gilt Groupe).  Both colors are actually much more neutral than you would think - They're not too bright but are different enough so that they'll stand out with any outfit.

I highly recommend you check out her website and sign up for the emails... that's how I found out about the sample sale (it was only accessible through an email that was sent out).  Every single pair of shoes was $50, no matter their original price.  All that mattered was whether or not they had your size!

Fabulous Fall Jackets

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

With fall just around the corner, I thought it would be the perfect time to share with you some coats I thought were great for the season.
Mackage, $750, Saks
For me, I find leather jackets to be perfect for the fall weather - they keep you warm on chilly nights, but on a bright, sunny day you won't find yourself unbearably hot and roasting.  I absolutely love this one by Mackage. Wear it with jeans and heels to stick with the edgy look, or pair it with a cute skirt and tights for a nice contrast.

Won Hundred, $132, tobi
Won Hundred has put a fun twist on the classic denim jacket by playing with the color-blocking trend. This jacket just looks so effortlessly chic and can be dressed up with a cute dress as shown in the picture. If I were you I'd grab this while it was still on sale - the original price was $189 and it's now on sale for $132, so you might as well save yourself the $57 while you can. In fact, tobi also has a code for an extra 15% off sale items (that would make it $112.20!) until August 15th if you become a Facebook fan.

Free People, $50.40, Shopbop

This adorable jacket from Free People is perfect to throw on as you're running out the door and, since it has a hood and is made of nylon, it acts as a great raincoat and windbreaker.  It's on sale for an amazing price - $50.40 - originally being $168, and all sizes are available (XS, S, M, L)... get this jacket while you can!

Juicy Couture, $119, tobi
Finally, something Juicy! This great Juicy Jacket is so neutral and perfect for fall.  I love how tobi has styled it, but you could obviously dress it down a little more by wearing it with jeans.  It's on sale for $119 (it was originally $298), and, as mentioned before, you get an extra 15% off if you become a Facebook fan

Ralph Lauren, $1498, Saks
Though this may not be a jacket, it's still a form of fall outerwear! I thought I'd finish this post with a fabulous, Native-American inspired poncho from Ralph Lauren.  I've never really been a huge fan of ponchos, but this one has made me change my mind... though, at $1498, I'm definitely not going to be buying it anytime soon..!

My Collection: Michael Kors Hamilton Satchel

I thought I'd have the first "My Collection" post be on one of my favorite things: my Michael Kors Hamilton Satchel in Vanilla.

I'm pretty sure this bag is my favorite of all the ones I own (and trust me, I have a LOT of bags...). Although it may be a bit small, it holds everything you need: large wallet, phone, and camera (plus papers and things like that).  It has a detachable shoulder strap so you can put it over your shoulder or even use it as a cross-body bag to be hands-free.

here you can see the shoulder strap

The inside has 1 zipper pouch, a keychain, and features a snap-button closure.

The color is also great.  It's not a "bright white" but more of a creamy white, which is why the color is called vanilla.

The "Hamilton" style comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, so check out Michael Kors' website to get one yourself, and click here for this specific bag.

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog, The Queen of Couture.  For years now I have been thinking of starting a fashion blog, but never actually sat down and took the time to do so.  Now, I finally have.  After a long closet and room clean-out/makeover, I realized it was finally the time to do so, writing about my love for fashion and everything related to it.  I will keep you updated on the latest fashion must-haves,  write about items in my collection, keep you informed of the latest and greatest sales, and much more to come.  And, since I am a self-proclaimed "Juicy Addict," expect to find many Juicy posts sprinkled throughout the blog.
Thanks for reading and please come back soon for my first "real" post!
